Sam Jok Oh (Three Legged Crow) is the National Symbol of an Ancient Korean Kingdom called Goguryo in the Manchurian region today – the word, Korea, comes from this Kingdom. Sam Jok Oh is also known as a Sun God, and in an ancient Goguryo tomb murals, the sacred Three Legged Crow is in the middle, symbolizing divine authority, surrounded by 4 Guardians – White Tiger on the West, Blue Dragon on the East, Red Scarlet on the South and Snake Turtle on the North (사신도). In 2007 Korean Drama called 태왕사신기, it portrayed the story of 19th Emperor of Goguryo, 광개토대제 by actor Bae Yong Jun, and there, they touched upon the notion of the 4 gods and the Three Legged Crow where I was firstly personally exposed.
3 is a very important in the world we live in. We are in 3D world, XYZ – there is breakfast, lunch, and dinner; morning, day and night; left middle right, front middle back, top middle bottom… Everything in this world is about 3. And Nikola Tesla talked about the Key to the Universe and was obsessed with the number 3. Hinduism / Buddhism also talk about the Awakening of the 3rd Eye just like the Eye of Providence by the Illuminati and Holy Trinity in the Bible too is talking about 3. Without a doubt there certainly is something going on with 3, and the Ancient Horsemen recognized it and quantified it as below.
- Circle is the Infinite Creator, the Father – the Sky. This was depicted as Bronze Mirror.
- Box is the Finite Nurturer, the Mother – the Land. This was depicted as 8 Neck Bell
- When Circle and Box mix, what shape does it become? A Triangle or the Person, and this was depicted as the triangular tip of a Sword.
And in the Founding story of Korea, Dan Gun / 단군, we can see that number 3 is repeated bluntly again and again…
Long story short… the Son of God was looking down and saw that people were living horribly, so asked the Father to let him go down and govern them. The Father said ok – take 3 gods with you: God of Wind, God of Cloud, and God of Rain (these three are symbols for farming, signifying a change from nomadic life to settlement life). The Father also gave him 3 proofs of legitimacy to rule, and they were the Bronze Mirror, 8 Neck Bell and a Sword. The Father continued to say – take 3,000 people to help with the journey. The Son of God came down and created a city of God and one day, Tiger and Bear came, asking to be human. So the Son of God gave them garlic and mugwort and told them to only eat these in a cave and avoid the sun for 100 days and you will be a human. Tiger failed in 50 days, and the Bear stayed and became a woman, and the Son of God married her to have given birth to Dan Gun 단군 who declared a teaching of Love and of diaspora of Good-will and Bright intent. There are many variations of the story based on the region; some areas, it was the Fox and the Bear, and some areas say that Dan Gun and Mago Grandma fought each other and etc… this one I mentioned is the nationally standardized story, but it is not limited to that.
- Interestingly, the Korean story of the origin doesn’t talk about creation of the world or of human like many other culture’s story of origin like Bible for example. Instead, the world was already created and the people were living, and the story can be analyzed realistically as an invasion from an external force (Son of God) with greater technology and advanced culture, but they were met with the resistances from the locals, and in the end, the invaders realized they couldn’t take over as originally planned and had to change their plan. If you examine the conditions of Korean peninsula… There are 4 distinct seasons where it can get as hot and humid as Vietnam and it also can get very cold and critically, windy, that even the Russians hate the Korean winter. The peninsula has no natural resources to trade and is 80% mountains made mostly out of granite, making it difficult for farming, and there isn’t a wide open area for livestock raising like in Mongol. The ONLY advantage is clean water, which actually now seems like a great thing in the current days with all the data centers. And to give some examples on how hard it is to live in Korean peninsula for any kind of life form…
- In 1970s, American Bullfrog was introduced, and at first, they were disrupting the ecosystem, but now, it’s not the case because the Bullfrogs have gotten smaller due to decimation of all the big ones having been eaten by the natural predators like Northern Snakehead, Otters, and Storks, so only the smaller Bullfrogs were able to pass down the DNA.
- Spotted Lanternflies were detected in 2004 and peaked in 2009, but now, they are mostly gone because their eggs froze in the Korean winter…
- Largemouth Bass was brought in for eating purposes and spread out to cause many issues initially. Now, their numbers are less and sizes are smaller due to distinctly hot summer and cold winters of Korea as well as natural predators.
- Nutria was imported for fur and meat, but it didn’t work out and they spread like cockroaches… But the freezing winter of Korea took care of them.
- So it shows living in this peninsula is truly and amazingly difficult, and the foreign force (the Son of God) realized this natural defense system after numerous bloody exchanges in the beginning, and when they saw that ROI (Return on Investment) isn’t good, they decided to change their plan and find a way to co-exist with the locals. And through many lives lost on both sides and much hate accumulated, the ultimate lesson that the both learned is that the only way to avoid death and hate is to Love, so the wedding between the Son of God and the Bear Woman symbolized forgiveness and unification of two opposing forces despite their built up animosity, for the good of all and for the future, and this is the exact lesson that was passed down to today in Korean culture – be a person who is beneficial to the world aka 홍익인간.
- Sam Jok Oh was originally a White Bird, but for the sin of the people, it sacrificed itself in the Sun and burnt to death, but from its own ashes, it rose back up and became a Black Bird with 3 Legs. If you are from the Western culture, you should be thinking some things… there is something partly similar about death for the sin of the people and reincarnation like Jesus, and there is a special Bird you know with a name of a city in Arizona… Yes – Phoenix, the undying Firebird who rises from its own ashes. So this Sam Jok Oh story again shows the correlation between Koreans and Jews by showing the similarities in the ideology of dying for the sin of the people and of reincarnation within the same Bird Totem culture.

- If you see the Squid Game sign, one can see that Circle, Box and Triangle are specifically in separate color – why did they do this? We can’t know exactly why since we are not the creator, 황동혁, but clearly, there was an aim, an intended purpose that he wanted to show the audience in a smart subtle way, and for people who know about Sam Jok Oh, it was too obvious… And when you search Google about the symbols, it says that it’s about the Guard ranking, and interestingly, Box is the highest, which is the Mother and I can see why because Horsemen culture was Matriarchy, and 강화 참성단 also has the Box as the highest form – this just goes to tell you that we all need to be nice to our moms and wives regardless of the past or now… And Matriarchy is important because we live in a Patriarchy society today where one is bound to land because the food comes from the land. In the Matriarchal Horsemen culture, the livestock provides food, clothing and drink, so if someone wanted to be a dick Dictator, you just pack up and leave unlike Farmland culture, and the ancient horsemen people put the North Star in the middle and moved clockwise, following the Big Dipper (북두칠성 North Head 7 Star) with a woman as the leader of the tribe. In Farmland society, one needs power for the field; hence, the word, Male, in Chinese is written with a field 田 and energy 力. But again, in Nomadic horsemen lifestyle, drink/food/clothing came from their livestock, which was usually the sheep, so focus was completely different – they needed someone who can make sure that the tribe keeps finding new land for the livestock to graze; hence, women’s keen 6th sense to communicate with the Sky was more needed, so that’s why it was Matriarchy. In Korea today, when you go into a restaurant and there is a lady worker, we would say 이모 (Ee Mo) which is for Mom’s sister – Dad’s sister is said as 고모 (Go mo), and stop any Korean and ask – they will all agree that they say 이모 but no one knows why… well this is why – it is because of the Matriarchy Horsemen culture.

Three Legged Crow is the most ultimate Korean way of expressing the truth and the knowledge of this physical world, and other Horsemen cultures did it in their own ways like Holy Trinity with the Jews, but is this just a Korean / Jewish thing? Are there evidences or residues of Sam Jok Oh left on the neighbors such as China and Japan? Or even further outside of Asia? There are plenty, and let me show them to you in my other posts…
